Courtney has been working in the legal field since 2000. Throughout her career, she has worked for a Judge, in a small family law practice, a boutique litigation law firm and within the government. Courtney has represented various different entities including estates, individuals, family members, trustees, and a government.

Courtney graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006 and was called to the Bar in 2009. Since establishing her law practice in 2011, Courtney has built a reputation for clear communication and practical problem-solving skills. Courtney takes a pragmatic and compassionate approach and enjoys helping clients resolve their family and estate law problems in a timely and practical manner.

Courtney was awarded the Justice Net Award of Excellence in 2014 for her commitment to justice and has developed particular expertise in highly sensitive cases through her work with the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic. She actively volunteers in her community, working with various philanthropic organizations to assist vulnerable populations, including homeless youth and low-income seniors.

A graduate of Queen's University — where she received the Ken Dryden Scholarship and was recognized as an Ontario Scholar — Courtney remains active in the legal community by mentoring lawyers, articling, paralegal, and law clerk students.
